WHAT is up with our American perception of femininity? - breastfeeding husband images
I am the mother of a daughter almost 16 years, so of course, friends are often invited into our house. A few weeks ago, "the girl" a house for us, my son spent the night with a friend, and my husband worked. We talked about certain things, and body image were collected. A friend of my daughter admitted that she, what does your body was ashamed, and very self-conscious when shopping for clothes. (There is nothing wrong with it is a beautiful little girl in good health, not a size 1, but the feeling, thinking that it was "too big") My daughter told me that when she made her first term, he was ashamed of how he done something wrong.
I thought of the conversation WHIsland is now some other things that were discussed, as well as a diet, fashion, women's health, maternity, pregnancy or lactation. I am surprised that the pressure of the women in their place in American society itself and the ideals that our girls have to have that feeling.
I think we women should not be so hard on ourselves and others. Has anyone ideas on how we made more positive and uplifting with others and, above all, how to set a good example for our daughters?

I also have almost 16 years and know exactly what you mean. There is a huge amount of pressure to a certain size, certain types of clothing and certain date. They do not meet what the company says, it "should" start, very self-confident and as if that should change. I'm not really a size 1, and often at school, I think I should be on a diet and lose much weight is normal (I am a size 8 American Eagle).
ReplyDeleteI blame the media, and lifted off into thin girls look to others who are not "as good" as them. it sucks big time and not be worse. like losing a mother, not her daughter or her friends, the weight or need something. My mother is very good in this area never said, like a child, she was beautiful or so, even when people told me I was beautiful, she did not say. And he was never a snob. But now she says I look so good and makes me feel really comfortable AbuT me, without me a snob.

Women's bodies are still taboo subjects gloryfy the super thin, and spent a year milioins on breast implants. what we tell women that men are bad to see the results. Contridictory This sends messages to our youth about what is good and bad, no depression high.in Wonder when add urope topless Teen TV are common, and the beaches are nude, laugh at our silly ideas of morality. and feel by the Act of breastfeeding and insults, etc.
